Declaring Your Faith
Sabbath is the opportunity for Christians to make their declarations of faith. So you should not keep that voice to yourself. When observing the Sabbath, go shout out to God. Give Him the loudest praise and the sincerest worship. Make a declaration of your faith. Call unto God publicly. Do be ashamed of your faith. The reason why you are observing the Sabbath is because you love God and you want to obey His law.
So why is declaring your faith publicly important? Can’t you just stay inside your room and worship God in silence alone? Isn’t Sabbath your dedicated time with God for the week that had passed? There’s nothing wrong with calling unto God in silence. In fact, it is more intimate. But the reason why you should also call unto Him in public is for all to know that you are already redeemed and that you are not ashamed of your faith. According to Apostle Paul: “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
