Prophetic Prayer Vows & Oath
Why do we need Prophetic Prayer?
We need prophetic prayer on the account of Sins Requiring a Sin Offering also points out another key principle that we must live by: integrity when it comes to what we say. In the Bible, the case of integrity involving vows is specifically tackled.
Leviticus 5:4 states:
“Or if a person swears thoughtlessly with his lips to do evil or to do good, in whatever matter a man may speak thoughtlessly with an oath, and it is hidden from him, and then he comes to know it, he will be guilty in one of these.”
Does Your Prophetic Prayer has Vows and Oath?
During that time, among the common people, there were no written contracts involved. Vows and oaths were spoken publicly, that others may bear witness to these and serve as judge and jury. Because of this, people had to be very careful about what they promised to one another. It would occur, however, that some people would forget their vows because they probably did not take them too seriously to begin with. Such is the case when one is taken by the passion of the moment, and speaks “thoughtlessly”.
