Dirt Is the Enemy’s Domain

There are people in this world who have been suffering for a very long time. For some, their suffering seems to have no end. Despite what the world says or what your mind says, there is always a solution in Christ Jesus.

In the Bible, Luke 13 tells us the story of a woman who had an infirmity that caused her to be bent down for 18 years.  

“Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.”

Luke 13:10-13

Can you imagine being bent down for 18 years? All you would see is dirt. That was the predicament of the woman in Luke 13. The dirt on the ground was all that her eyes could see. All the time, everywhere she went, dirt was all her eyes could fall upon.

In the Book of Genesis, you would recall that God cursed the devil to eat dust all the days of his life, because he would be forever confined to slithering through the dirt.

“And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:”

-Genesis 3:14

Dirt is the enemy’s domain. Dirt, however, isn’t what you’re supposed to face in life! Until you understand this vital principle, you will live beneath your privilege as God or as divinity here on planet Earth. Step away from the dirt and step into the purity of God’s grace!
