Being Honest and Transparent
“Don’t cheat when measuring length, weight, or quantity. Use honest scales and weights and measures. I am God, your God. I brought you out of Egypt.” (Leviticus 19:35-36)
According to Werner Erhard, you cannot be successful if you do not have integrity. This means that you must be absolutely fair and transparent in dealing with other people. True transformation occurs when a person is able to become one of complete integrity and honesty, in whatever situation that may arise.
We must try to be a hundred per cent honest in all our dealings with one another. We should practice transparency in all our transactions. A person who seeks transformation must master integrity in order to become a successful person, as well as a good leader.
No matter how tempting or easy it may be to take advantage of another person, we must resist. We must not allow sin to get the better of us. Although giving in to dishonesty may have its temporary rewards at first, its negative effects on your being will greatly outweigh any benefits. Do not sacrifice your integrity as a person for temporary physical gains –it is never worth it.
