Sharing of Bread and Wine
“He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.” (Numbers 6:3 KJV)
Unfortunately, many people tend to shy away from sharing the gift of Jesus Christ with others. This is usually because they do not care enough about the well-being of others. They do not deem it worth the effort for them to go out of their way to bring people closer to God.
What more people need to understand is that sharing the body and blood of Christ is not a mere favour that is done for other people. Rather, it is an obligation to God that is expected of all Christians. Therefore, anyone who partakes in the symbolic Bread and Wine must know that in doing so, they are also accepting their Christian responsibility, which is to share the blessing of Jesus Christ with those who have gone astray.
